re Motley Fool's "Why I sold Apple"


The fact that the author could only now realize how distant Apple management wants to keep Apple investors suggests he hasn't been reading what Apple's been up to ... for years.

The fact that they trumpet options accounting risk may drive out some weak hands; there's another Motley Fool article out today on the merits of buying stocks other people allege are overvalued (assuming the companies also have certain other merits).

Given the cost of selling (short term capital gains vs the long term rate) and my view of Apple's business going into the next year, I'm pretty much set on holding through MWSF and probably into summer. Chasing out weak hands doesn't do anything in my book but steepen the next rush in.
