Seems he thinks it's a shame to put somebody in jail and make them pay restitution for stealing from the public...as long as the person stealing the money makes "some" they work with rich.
Seems like he is trying to think like Robin Hood who stole from the rich to give to the poor.
He must think of the guy as Robin Hood. Probably thinks of himself as Robin Hood.
The problem, the public are not generally "the rich" and they were defrauded, while Elon Musk (the accused "thief") was already wealthy/rich. Ed loses the point that that is why he may go to jail and have to repay millions. That that makes Elon Musk the "Sheriff of Nottingham" not Robin Hood in this story.
Makes one wonder why Ed would be trying to justify an accused "thief" and shame those that brought him to accountability?
Makes one wonder that if he is someone Ed looks up to, what does Ed think he can get away with?
