(Alaska, for an example) Oh, outhouses, no running water, require helicopter food supplies in poor weather conditions are real things that also are still in use (or are luxuries some dont have) today in America. There are plenty of places in America where iphones and samsungs dont work, GPS doesnt work, and people that dont have the luxuries of a mall in a city... Plenty cant afford the expense of a monthly phone plan, and 10/20/30 are within budget. Many, many people live in tight budgets, spare cash is a luxury many dont have.

The world is bigger and more vast than ones commute.
