Additional info that is just IMO.
When the market tops and there is actual reversal, then TVIX will yield substantial, potentially huge profits. I expect the board will get lively as that expectation rises again.
To cease trading TVIX altogether would be an emotional reaction to the present and likely an unnecessary loss of major future profits.
