I could envision your thoughts as possible were it not for the presence of Stratton Stevens in the executive suite of NWOG. Maybe I'm focusing too much on the influence of this man, but he has been an honored icon, a positive presence in Canada's business and charitable scene for a long time. Mr. Stevens was one of the pallbearers at the funeral of Pierre Trudeau, the famous Canada Prime Minister, together with Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. If you Google on his name you will find many references to his charitable works and participation in Canada's charitable works societies. I find it hard to imagine that Mr. Stevens, who is a Vice President of NDOL, would aloow his name to be associated with any underhanded schemes.

Rather, I believe the opposite. In my mind it is much more likely that Mr. Malyshev and company are preparing for an acquisition at value.
