Why would it break the double-blind? In theory a Provenge batch and a placebo batch would be prepared on all patients and even the doctor wouldn't know who received a placebo and who received Provenge. The JMP call intimated as much from the Urologist when he described patients who had more energy and he said you must have gotten an active agent. He clearly didn't know which one of his patients got what.
