September 20,21--Thursday morning CC the Calico Cat came out to great me favoring her right front paw. It's been a long time since she's experienced an injury. She didn't want to eat, but she did want attention. Thursday morning Ali's crew started work on clearing out the chicken run. All that activity made her nervous. I tried to stroke her when she wasn't expecting it and she jumped a foot in the air. Then she climbed the wall to the back of the lot and sat there. I tried to call her down but she wouldn't budge. She meowed at me and walked away. I returned in the evening to feed her but she didn't appear. This morning she appeared and ate all the dry and wet food I set out. She was using her right front paw but she still favored it.

Thursday night I made six jars of Green Tomato Salsa Verde. I seeded and minced 10 jalapenos (five red, five green), minced two cloves of garlic, squeezed out a cup of juice from 8 limes, fine diced two cups of Vidalia onion, 7 cups of diced green tomatoes and fine chopped a half cup of cilantro. This took at least 5 hours to finish. I brought the jars to the office but the photo I took was blurred. I started on another 6 this evening with the jalapenos and then grew sleepy. I just don't have it in me this evening. The thought of another tomorrow -- the fist day of autumn -- with a heat index hovering around 100 is depressing. The 10 forecast is somewhat encouraging but it's still above the norm.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
