I was in the same situation as you 20 years ago, as I learned how to invest during a mania — the Nasdaq internet sector mania

There’s a blessing and a curse to starting out investing during a mania

The blessing is obvious —you can make ridiculous amounts of money

The curse is that manias don’t come around very often so they require patience, timing and focus

The mania hasn’t arrived yet, but from what I’m seeing, I don’t think it will be too much longer
