Since we don't do price limit alerts, here is how I tell people to look for stocks approaching their 52 week highs - there are 2 methods:

1. Use the Position in Yearly Range Filter and set it to the 99th percentile along with any alert you like (e.g., New High alert) - http://www.trade-ideas.com/Help.html#WSF_MinRY

2. Just use the New High Alert and set it to 365 to represent a 52 week/yearly high. Better yet set it to a 330-day high or lower number to catch it on its way up. http://www.trade-ideas.com/Help.html#alert_filter_NHP

So you are not dealing with actual dollar amounts (these are more meaningful for some stocks and less for others depending on the relative size of the stock price) but rather dealing with percentiles around or days around their 52 week high - a better, relative way of finding this pattern. good luck.

As a bonus you can also use our free stock research center to get a list of stocks on their way to a 52 high: http://www.trade-ideas.com/StockInfo/_ScreenerConfig.html
