Great question. Its been a long time since I dd the gp deal but I believe that they get some shares (less than pure equity financing.) However they do get paid interest, so they are a combination of some interest and some shares. While pure equity has not interst / debt but requires more shares.

At this point in time fnhi needs cash to buy covers, now. While gp is also a good deal it is a few weeks to few months away depending on cse listing which is needed to trigger the 450k.

Bottom line I am looking forward to gp funding, but fnhi can get a good jump on sales now, rather than wait . It appears Rossi took the bull by the horns and got some much needed funding.
