This is an important question for our doctor friend. From what I experienced, successful clinical trials are the most powerful PPS movers....at least for the FDA trials.

Orphan drug stats from the FDA:
Out of tens of thousands of applications that have been submitted only 1639 have been given active designation (accepting of application for clinical trials) as of Oct. 10th 2006.

Out of 1639 designations only 295 have gone to market.

This, my friends, is a long shot on anybodys ballfield.

I was in INSM when it got it's approval and everybody was holding their breath.
