Rivetz and Civic announced plans today to secure Civic’s Identity Verification process with Rivetz SDK and the end point user’s TEEs. This partnership will bring more secure identity verification to global telecom networks and mobile device manufacturers, making the whole process simpler and safer for users.

Civic is a personal identity verification protocol that leverages distributed ledger technology to better manage digital identities. Civic’s network is built on Ethereum’s blockchain and is comprised of users, validators, and service providers. Users are those who, yes, use the service to verify their identity. Validators actually verify the identity and then sell the validation to service providers for $CVC.
The Ethereum blockchain’s immutable ledger is perfect for storing sensitive facts such as identity verification. Rivetz secures the end points by tying individuals’ identity verification with their personal phone’s TEE. Using trusted hardware to store secrets creates another level of security to make it simple and secure for users to use Civic’s App.
