Well this is sad.

Johannes Vanderwey: He is the brother of Nicolass Vanderwey, the owners of JNV farms llc Oregon and HEMP's partner.

November 22, 1964 -

August 22, 2018

Johannes (Yon) Vanderwey was born November 22, 1964 in Bakhuizen, Netherlands to Thea and Hank Vanderwey. He passed away at his Medford, Oregon home on August 22nd, 2018. Yon's parents immigrated to the US in 1966 when he was 2 years old. It was there, on a dairy farm in Idaho, that he was raised.

Yon had a passion for business and lived his life as a very successful entrepreneur. He had several ventures, including farms, a winery, an oil and gas company, a trucking business, a seed business, hurricane cleanup, and he even invented a board game Dairyopoly.

Yon's life may have been shorter than expected, but he packed it full of love, laughter, and adventure. Yon loved to be the center of attention, and his huge personality filled those around him with happiness and a sense of belonging. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and conducting business deals. He loved adventure and encouraged those around him to enjoy life to its very fullest. He lived a life on the edge and could often be found causing trouble with his twin brother Nico.

Yon was also known as the chief Vanderwey family mediator. He had the biggest heart and cared deeply for his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Panpailin, his five children; Thea, Alissa, Tianna, Hans, and Sarah, his two grandchildren; Bridger and River, his mother; Thea, and his four siblings; Laney, Nico, Marianne, and Henry. He was preceded in death by his father Hank.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 29 at St. Mary's Catholic Parish in Mt. Angel, Oregon. A reception will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Autism Foundation, 519 15th St. Oregon City, OR 97045.
