As born-again believers its common knowledge that we have to work to put food on our tables and a roof over our heads just like everybody else. However...do we know...or at least give thought to the fact that God didnt just save us to run around here on planet earth doing what we do...focusing on our self and those closest to us...getting by as best we can...living day by day searching for the preverbal brass ring. That in fact as believers...yes...God expects you and me to be productive...but its in a totally different way than most folks seem to be able to grasp. And what exactly does that mean? Well first of all...it means we are actively looking for ways to serve God and serve others. Remember Jesus told the man the greatest commandment was to love the Lord your God with all your heart..soul..mind and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. And the blessing in loving God and others in this way...it means we are so busy thinking about what we can do next for the Kingdom and others that we have little time to think about ourselves...to worry or to become discouraged! When we are a blessing to others...we are blessed in return..right! So today i want to challenge you to go out of your way to serve someone. And dont just do it to do it. Let that person know your helping them out because your service pleases the Lord you love! Heck...tell them that Jesus sent you! It will be a great testimony of a life thats committed to Christ and God will receive the glory for a good work thru you!
