Very true - imagine what our taxes could do for us if we didnt spend $400B every year on interest on our wall street created debt and $600B every year on weapons and defense -- including defense of places like Denmark.

But the fact remains, despite Paul Krugman's rant -- when you add everything up, we get taxed a lot. So maybe Paul should take an economics class. Or an arithmetic class maybe. But I do agree that the uber rich should be taxed more. I've said it here many times. For example, after a certain income level, ALL income (such as long term capital gains) should be taxed like income. Which at some point should be at a rate of 50%. We spent $8 trillion bailing out the uber rich. They should pay it back not us.

Did you know that 90% of all people living in Denmark are of Danish heritage ? Most of Scandinavia all those 5 million people countries - are the same way.

I'm sure that's part of it too. The hard work and personal sacrifice for the greater good culture of northern Europe is different from the rest of the world. Just look at Venezuela, Greece, and so many other places - including to some degree the US.
