No one is claiming that insider buys mean the SP is going to dramatically increase following the purchase. What it shows is that nothing catastrophic is on the horizon and insiders believe the company has reasonable long term prospects. It could still fail for a million other reasons. That's called taking risk. You do realize that in the free market businesses fail all the time, right? Doesn't prevent anyone from investing in and 'believing' in the business.
