The "left leaning" media has ignored hemp across the board for years now. More states have legalized hemp than MJ or MMJ, and these numbers have never gained any traction in the public opinion sphere, even from the non left leaning media. So the farm bill being plucked out of the entirety of the hemp legalization changes across the country and blaming only the left media is inaccurate. Overall,voters and consumers and reporters are just less concerned with hemp than they are with MJ. So, changes in MJ policy gain more attention on average than changes in hemp policy.
