APPENDIX 1: Purpose and Objectives





The AN/SYM-3(V) program requires "SmartSync DCS Server-Enterprise Edition" licenses. This software allows for the bulk compression and transfer of classified data, and is a central part of the current AN/SYM-3(V) architecture for permitting the automatic transfer of files from ship to shore. Licenses will include deployment support, including maintaining software testing facilities, as well as software development support to maintain IA accreditation.
