There was a time when southern Africa was a great place to go on either a hunting trip or a tour of their wonderful national parks. It used to be that crime was mostly under control, but no more. Some may remember how land reform went in what was formerly Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. At that time, Rhodesia farmers produced crops for export, and between South Africa and Rhodesia, fed most of Africa and exported food to Asia and Europe. After land reform, that ended and Zimbabwe became a basket case. I have a currency bill from Zimbabwe, face amount is 100 billion dollars. It is worthless.
South Africa is in the process of beginning the same sort of land reform that was such an abysmal failure in Zimbabwe, and it will end the same way.
