bradfordbios,

I am not looking for an argument, but I believe as some posters pointed out recently, that Rosh Hashshanah represents the Jewish New year. I don´t think that(Rosh Hashshanah) is synonomous with Christmas, as inferred by you, but rather with the Jewish New Year. I´ve always associated Hanukkuh as synomonous with Christmas, but that´s based on friendly associations, without asking deeper questions of them. Friends.

Should those that observe Rosh Hashshanah take off New years as well?

Should those that take off Hanukkuh, take off Christmas as well?

No offence intended to anyone, if I´ve misinterprepted the meaning of Rosh Hasshanah to it´s folllowers, but the posts presented, on both sides, are head scraching to me.
