LMFAO! Walgreens (WBA) tried to acquire all of RAD, but the feds quashed the deals, first the total acquisition , and then the scaled back partial acquisition with Freds taking the rest of the RAD stores. So RAD and WBA amended the deal and WBA acquired about 2,000 of the best performing RAD locations and stores, which is why RAD is now in the predicament it faces, with insufficient size or scale to compete in the space.
