Why coorstek over Kyocera or NGK? Kyocera is already setup in Vancouver, WA along with partnership with Amedica and NGK has ortho development in Draper, UT which is far closer than Logan...also known partner.

Amedica should be able to sell off manufacturing rights but can still license the use of Si3N4 for specific applications.

In theory Amedica could sell to both Kyocera and Zimmer. Kyocera would get all manufacturing and license thereof while Zimmer would get to license and use Si3N4 for ortho applications. If Si3N4 is going to be a major player in ortho this kind of setup needs to be done as no one company can do it all.
