Blockchain in itself is not failsafe at all from the perspective of anti-counterfeiting. One needs, to fully guarantee the at blockchain registered and distributed trades/transaction concern original materials and products. So something inherent to the material that is there to stay guaranteed from source to shelf, pharmacist or 3Dprinter is needed in case the material doesn´t own a unique natural dna (identifier)
With just blockchain you do for ever store and distibute in an encrypted way ownership and ownershipchanges, but nothing yet has guaranteed that along the physical trip the material didn´t get dilluted or replaced or "messed with". Surely one can manage with machinevision to scan and track identifiers such as packaging but it isn´t sufficient anymore. Tagging at the source IN and ON the material will be the only way to provide a true traceable ID for practically ANYTHING. Murrah´s piece on our ability to be the bridge between the physical and digital is the most important guidepiece for this companies future imho.

Agricultural products, medicine, polymers/synthetics and future foods/proteins form the big markets imho...everywhere the joyjuice also needs to endure and withstand all kinds of enviromental challenges and where the safety of the raw material is central to THE major trustconcerns and possible future claims (one should try to avoid like crazy...all of course with the aid of SignatureDNA.)

A marketapproach would be to certify all other security and safetyproviding companies or to hold on a bit longer to the one tech (or tag) everybody essentially wants to own or at least use....Increasing value and potential by proving vability in all kinda markets AND by not rushing and selling to quickly imho is the best way. A lot of companies that might be in business of trying to control and dominate global trade, and do wish for a technology enabling them to "see and proof all"

I also envision a realtime dna scantech soon. Ultimately reading the tag AND crossreferencing it with encrypted and safelystored codesshould be automated using a secure entry to the adnasvault every single time of a read. It will be the future eventually.

The IBM piece imho sheds some light upon how trade will look like not far from now...and the link through Everledger imho is a breadcrumb in at least MY convictiondriven search for clues and breadcrumbs.
