Time Finance CEO on Q3 update: record lending & growth to resilient small businesses

Time Finance PLC (AIM:TIME) CEO Ed Rimmer takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s performance in the third quarter, highlighting a record gross lending book and improved arrears management. Rimmer explained that Time Finance provides funding solutions to small businesses, including invoice finance, asset finance, and secured loans, typically supporting businesses with turnover up to £10 million. He said, “We help businesses grow, but we also help businesses to survive as well.” The company’s lending book reached a record £210 million at the end of February, with arrears falling to 5% from 6% a year earlier. Rimmer noted this progress came despite challenging market conditions and was achieved without compromising credit quality. Margins have also increased, with profit margins now at 40%. This was attributed to tight cost control and improved efficiency, including leveraging technology and streamlining internal processes. Time Finance has not increased its headcount significantly post-COVID, which has helped support margin growth. Rimmer also addressed the broader economic environment, pointing to interest rate pressures, inflation, and increased insolvencies, but emphasised that small businesses remain resilient. Ananda Pharma adds former GW Pharmaceuticals executive as strategic advisor, advances MRX1

Ananda Pharma Plc finance director Jeremy Sturgess-Smith talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the appointment of Chris Tovey as a strategic advisor. Tovey brings significant experience from his time as chief operating officer at GW Pharmaceuticals and later Jazz Pharmaceuticals. According to Sturgess-Smith: “He’s going to bring all that experience to Ananda,” helping guide the company through its regulatory path and corporate development. Sturgess-Smith also touched on Ananda securing ethics approval to begin its first human trial of MRX1, a key milestone for the company’s therapeutic pipeline. He noted this was the first ethics approval of its kind for any Ananda trial, with recruitment expected to begin shortly in Australia. “It’s very, very exciting to have that ethics approval in the bag,” he said. Looking ahead, the company also expects ethics approvals for studies into chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and endometriosis in the next six months. Tamboran Resources boosts NT gas supply with Arafura deal

Tamboran Resources Ltd CEO Joel Riddle talked with Proactive about the company's newly signed letter of intent (LOI) with Arafura Resources Ltd to supply gas from the Beetaloo Basin. Riddle explained that both companies are based in the Northern Territory, and the agreement supports local strategic projects by providing 25 terajoules (TJs) per day to Arafura's critical minerals project. The agreement aligns with Tamboran’s strategy of prioritising Northern Territory gas use. “We’re a Northern Territory company. We’ve been focused on appraising the Beetaloo Basin now for all 12 years I’ve been in my job,” Riddle said, highlighting the company’s long-term commitment to the region. Riddle also pointed out the environmental edge of Beetaloo Basin gas, which has a CO2 content of about 3%, significantly lower than the 15–20% typically found in other Australian basins. He said supplying this low-carbon gas to the East Coast would help reduce emissions by displacing higher-carbon alternatives. Discussing supply capacity, Riddle compared the Beetaloo to the Marcellus Shale in the US, noting it could provide enough gas to support the East Coast for “hundreds of years”. Tamboran plans to bring 40 TJs per day online in the first half of next year under an existing 15-year agreement with the NT Government. The Arafura deal will add a further 25 TJs daily. Riddle said work is underway with pipeline partner APA to ensure infrastructure capacity. The company aims to finalise a binding gas sales agreement with Arafura soon. St George Mining unveils major JORC resource

St George Mining Ltd executive chairman John Prineas talked with Proactive about the company's newly announced maiden JORC resource, which he says could be among the world’s most significant niobium and rare earth deposits. Prineas said the deposit features over 500 intercepts of high-grade mineralisation and boasts a rare combination of high grades and shallow mineralisation starting at surface, supporting an open pit development. “We think, possibly the second highest niobium deposit in terms of grade and, probably one of the highest rare earth deposits,” he told Proactive. He confirmed the company has already seen interest from industry players, with some expressing interest in potential partnerships and even mergers. The resource was released following St George’s acquisition of the project in late February, and the company has committed to a drill program starting in the coming weeks. According to Prineas, this program could potentially double the existing resource. In Brazil, St George has assembled an experienced in-country team and engaged a global EPC contractor to progress mine development.
