REGARDING THIS BOARD:

This board moved from RB due to numerous RB technical problems, the lack of response from RB and, primarily, our lack of ability to control the content on the board that included personal attacks, bashing, endless penny spamming, and clutter. Those of us with 3+ years on swing all made the decision jointly. bThis is a private board, members only, and it is a PRIVELEDGE to be here, not a right. I very much view this as a priveledge since I think it's as good an assembly of traders as I've seen, ranging from pennies to big caps.

Monk asked Brig and myself to moderate the board because he didn't want to and doesn't have time. However, it is not a democracy, it is not an inalienable right to post here, and if someone doesn't like the way it's run or the content provided here, they have the right to leave, post elsewhere, or start their own board. I liken it to my children's private school. I disagree with some of the administration's decisions, some of which they will not change, but it's a PRIVATE school, and I have to accept certain things, or move elsewhere. I think we all strive for a sense of community here within the IHUB regulations, and certainly hope for fairness and equality on all levels. Decisions will be made that, hopefully, follow the majority consensus, but do not necessarily have to. Again, no one has the RIGHT to be here. It is a private forum. As I've said before, I don't care if someone's from Mars if they give good stock picks, and no one else should. And no one should ever take offense at someone pointing out a possible negative of a stock. This is an open forum for dicussion, not pumping. However, common decency should and will prevail here. For some of us who are full time traders, this is, quite literally, our work environment.

The other day, I received a compliment from a poster here. I responded with what I thought was a fairly innocuous, sarcastic remark, that in my mind, belittled the exact behavior that poster was taking offense to. However, my remark included sexual innuendo that the poster took offense to. I apologized and removed the post. My girlfriend, who is quite liberal, but also has a very crass sense of humor, thought the post was very funny, and understood that by making that remark, I was actually including that poster in the same type of banter that brig and I and some of the other old timers give each other, the ultimate statement of yes, you are equal on ALL levels, and one of us. However, she also pointed out that as a board moderator, I should probably exclude myself from that type of banter. And that is a lesson learned and a point well taken, as I would hope to never offend anyone, and you never know how something might affect someone based on their personal experiences. My intention was never to offend, and I have extracted myself from continuing any conversation regarding the incident - done and gone and lessons learned.

However, the bottom line is, no one will dictate how this board operates except the founders. And honestly, I think we're way to heavy on pennies, although that's what's been moving lately. As Dream Weaving posted, may here who have been with the board for many years don't buy pennies, although many do and they've always been a part of the board. All I care is that we're all making money TOGETHER. We can each weed out which posters we read and which we don't, and always PM, a great feature here on IHUB. But the goal is to make money. That's why we're here.

Brig deleted several posts this morning by several posters. I read them, and think he was right in doing so. And in conclusion, just remember this. It our goal to all make money, and to have the best board, the best stock picks, deversified opportunities to make money in the market. Period. But it is and will remain a PRIVATE forum, and anyone who doesn't like it, has the right to leave at any time and post elsewhere. End of story. Hopefully, by all working together, we can keep this a fun, fair, open forum where all are equal and profiting equally.
