Mermentau rain----- The Mermentau La. area has been rather dry all summer, listed as moderate drought in July and even last week. But the whole area the last week had a months worth of rain. Any rice framers waiting for some rain to fill out their crop have got to be happy. Now it's a bit drier to harvest and the Tropical Storm will miss there.

The Wynne area of NE Arkansas has received some nice rains the past two weeks and some of the tropical storm will bring them more rain. If most of the crop is in, ground water will benefit for next years crop?

California had a hot summer and most reservoirs went from well above average last year to average now , let's hope for a normal or better rainy season there this fall and winter.
