Hot or Cold? As Usual, Liberals Flip-Flop While Power-Mongers Profit

ARTICLE SYNOPSIS:

Oct. 23, 2006 - In April, 1975, in an issue mostly taken up with stories about the collapse of the American-backed government of South Vietnam, NEWSWEEK published a small back-page article about a very different kind of disaster. Citing "ominous signs that the earth's weather patterns have begun to change dramatically," the magazine warned of an impending "drastic decline in food production." Political disruptions stemming from food shortages could affect "just about every nation on earth." Scientists urged governments to consider emergency action to head off the terrible threat of . . . well, if you had been following the climate-change debates at the time, you'd have known that the threat was: global cooling.

COMMENTARY:

Compromise and concession has been the liberal mindset for eons, and has caused the conditions that create extremes of political power. Concessions to Hitler aided his rise to world power. Concessions to Communism led to their domination of half the world. And today, concessions to false science on global warming are aiding the rise of totalitarianism in America.

One old saw that an aged friend of mine often repeated was on the subject of averages. He said that averages were only of any interest for intellectual discussions and very long term trends. "Why Alan," he would say, "If you had one foot in a bucket of hot coals, and another in a bucket of ice, most liberals would contend that on average, you were comfortable."

On a wide array of subjects the liberal mind in this nation has often taken extreme positions only when it suited their purposes, and on rare occasions when they were just too frightened to compromise. I was once criticised when I tried to get consensus from a small group to end a fight on an issue of little import. One critic labeled me a "closet liberal" for the very use of that word.

So why is the radical environmental movement and the globalist crowd united on such a false premise as global warming? For the liberals, their fear of losing some greenery or a few animals and a morbid fear of death that stems from a lack of faith in an afterlife are obvious motivators. Unbeknownst to most of them, they are simply dupes in a shell game in which they are willing to concede global power to a political elite in exchange for some perception of safety from yet another contrived boogyman of global warming and imminent demise.

The genuine scientists in this realm, meteorologists and those who record and study temperatures and historical vairance, agree almost universally that global warming is a myth, or at worst a temporary fluctuation in a normal ebb and flow. Even the radicals of the past in the same liberal vein came to opposite conclusions on the same evidence.

But the globalists have a totally different agenda. They could care less behind closed doors about our SUV's or the rainforests of Brazil. Their game is power. And organizations like the United Nations and the Kyoto agreements are being used to centralize global political power. Study the past, as this article from the Newsweek Technology and Science website reveals, and you will see through the shell game.

Nearly 2,000 years ago, the apostle John, speaking on behalf of God, told the Laodiceans "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth" (Revelation 3:16). A common trait of the atheist, the political liberal and the globalist internationalist is the concept of embracing the lukewarm to be "safe." Obviously, in God's economy this is a false security.

Climate is hot and cold, but globalism fits the definition of the Revelator: the actions, lies, and deceptions of the global elite and their global-warming-deluded liberal shills should be spewed out as the lukewarm concoction they form.
