As a health insurance broker I am going into my third year of contacting with Oscar Health along with over 70 other health insurance companies. One of the most significant differences that Oscar is noted for is the progress towards "Next generation healthcare" such as FREE teledoc services among many other nontraditional approaches that save both consumer & insurance company money.
The fact that the HS is designed for use by the consumer market fits in with the direction of healthcare evolution. More health insurers are putting into place programs to encourage & promote healthy lifestyles & preventive healthcare.
Heart disease & strokes are not only among the top causes for health related deaths, but are in the top few of the list in highest cost to treat. When caught early enough can be as simple as lifestyle change to prevent & eliminate the chances of occurrence.
Your article on Apple provides multiple points that not only confirms the direction of healthcare as I am discussing here but also reinforces Lexingtons views of Apple, along with many others, as being potential partners in HS. Apple is currently in development stage for a new chip to gather and organize data from their health tracking product features. My guess it would also have cloud communication capabilities to which, is designed into the HS as well.
Next generation preventive healthcare devices will have to be simplistic in use for consumers, have networking & cloud capabilities, and provide accurate data.
All of which is built into the engineering & design features of the HeartSentry device.
Great Articles Bigphilly and thanks for sharing.
Best wishes to us all.
