It was something to do with the antigun thing going on at the time and he was concerned that if someone did something with one of their guns that it would tank the company. Think it was around the elections as well and there were a few mass shootings before and during the planned time to release them. He didnt want to be known as a gun company and I dont think he really wants to sell to regular folk. It was probably a smart move to hold back release.

I also reckon that Hygieia has bigger margins because he told all of us at the time that it costs something like $1,000 to make one if I recall and the retail to government was limited to just over that. I dont remember the exact numbers anymore. If I had to guess it probably cost them less than a buck to make the socks although thats probably without the silver in them so who knows. They sell 3pk of their regular Hygieia for $15 and i bet they make every bit of $12/pack. Multiply that by a 100 packs or so a day and thats a pretty good margin with some nice revenue just off one style of sock. Hopefully with all the other styles coming out we will see revenues into the millions in a year or so. One can only dream
