I'm not sure what you want from me. Essentially, I buy a stock when the risk/reward ratio is in my favor. I buy more of it when I have a bigger advantage. If that doesn't make me a value investor then I don't know what does. And I don't friggin care either. You would have to define "value investor" first. Meaningless words and definitions.

Problem is, as a "value investor" in the China space you won't last more than 2 years. I've been around for 7 or 8. I use every tool at my disposal. All the experience I have gathered. And I don't read books.

You don't think trends and patterns matter? Then only buy stocks after a double top and sell after a double bottom. See how well you do.

I usually make money when I trade SIAF. One reason is probably because I know so much about it. So trading some shares around a core position is a good way to improve my position. But I usually don't do it. I have been waiting for my stock dividend for over a year. If I had traded it more I probably would have done better.

As for "Value pretenders". lol. Yes, there are many of those but I'm not one of them. I'm the one holding HERB stock. I can show it to 100 value investors and none of them would buy it. So who is the Pretender here? Certainly not me.
