To me these OBD-II devices are seeming like they are more and more customizable give the application they are being paired to which can increase/decrease costs. Given the fact, that a VIN# was requested from the car owner. I believe Mary posted that interaction on here. If you have any experience in the tunning word aftermarket parts are not universally priced across all makes and models far from it. You could have the same ECU tune for an Audi S6 as well as an Audi R8 and the two are completely different price points but yet both get installed in the car via the OBD-II port and virtually have the same base program but being the cars are different models the slight variances in programming make the price points different. Just my 2 cents from personal experience.
