Hey there, just a bit of background.
I wanted to introduce Dan to the WorldWater Solar people in hopes they can work together. So I went to meet WWS in Princeton NJ. On the way there I had the opportunity to sit in on another meeting for Durisan which makes hand sanitizers and other products with a novel formulation as the same client that knew WWS had a meeting with them. I was able to see a demo, go through their material and discuss the products with them.
It is a bit of a long story but ill do my best to describe things in a very basic way. Their surface sanitation product has a long life on a surface. For example you can clean it and weeks later the bacteria level is still very low, it performs a mechanical kill of bacteria and acts sorta like a pin cushion where the cell walls of bacteria are ruptured just falling on it. So bacteria do not develop resistance. There is no alcohol in the formula (unlike say Purell which I think you can light on fire etc). My client knows the owners of the company (which is private) (as is WWS). From how it was explained to me the FDA requires a certain amount of alcohol in products for some reason and thus a lot of testing had to be done with results submitted. I think there is just one product left to be approved and it is close.
I think this has huge potential as if you think of 3rd world issues, (or even post storm emergency preparedness issues) electricity, water, sanitation etc are all big. But these are just my ideas right now nothing other than people talking and making introductions.
Through the interesting demo process I learned that our cell phones are in fact dirtier than most of the items we touch in a given day LOL
