Shocked at how ignorant the former CEO of PayPal actually is not to mention his mocking of it as well. In all honesty, Im not sure why anyone cares about Mr. Harris’ opinion on blockchain as he is clearly misinformed on the technology. Mr. Harris should really educate himself on the revolutionary technology before giving interviews. Anyone who says Bitcoin is the greatest scam in history and says nothing about blockchain understands nothing! The key factor in the changing of the tide here is what Ripple is doing with blockchain. The Napster and iTunes analogy given by Ripple CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, is a good one to digest and meditate on of whats taking place here. Also, if faster networks were the solution it would of been implemented a long time ago, but it wasn’t for a reason, and thats because it isn’t capable. I would bet that Mr. Harris doesn’t know the first thing about the Ripple Network. He probably doesn’t even know if its exclusive to enterprise, or consumer, or both not to mention if he even knows how the Network transacts, and executes cross border payments. Ripple is going live with Xrapid by the 4Q of this year with major banks, not consumers so the answer is obviously enterprise. Now of course consumers will be utilized through all of this, but that avenue will come through financial institutions, not Ripple. Another thing is that faster networks cannot create nor solve the liquidity issue for cross border payments, but blockchain with XRP can. Simply put, the current technology in place isn’t capable to do what blockchain can. Its like putting the technology from the T-800 from Terminator up against the T-1000. The only thing Mr. Harris has going for him with this interview is that he isn’t the first wealthy entrepreneur to put his foot in mouth. After this comes full circle perhaps he will learn to fully understand both sides of a matter before voicing his opinion on it.

Proverbs 18:13, “He who gives an answer before he hears, It is folly and shame to him.”
