Inside the coding of a website, you will find all manner of instructions that make the pages display as they do. You will also find the actual published text that the search engines scan and make a note that that text is contained on that page. Then when you type a search term in a search engine it shows up where it has found those key search terms on various websites.
To find each page on a website, the search engines go to the Index for the website. The index is the stated pages that are listed for the website e.g. the Home Page, The About Us page and so on.
So one of the functions of the index/site map is to list all of the pages that are "live" and where they are located. By live I mean the pages that have been built, coded etc but and added to the "site map". The site map is usually a link somewhere on the home page that you can click and it will show you all the categories or pages on the website. Sometimes, however, the site map is not actually published to the public via the home page but, only held within the coding of the website for the "bots" sent out by the search engines to read. The Site map, in other words tells the search engines what pages the website has and where they're located. It kinda points the search engines in the right direction.
The site map of the website I believe, is used by the search engines to search the indexed pages published in it. Think of the Index in a book, its the same thing for the website. The search engines will scan the text on each page, or at least the name of the page if there's nothing else there like the Delfin Investor Relations page.
If for example, you search for the name Fred Jones, CEO of Delfin LNG, the search engines will have sent out their "spiders" or "bots" to scan and note the text on the page of any website and what it says. Then when you search on a key word or phrase, the search engine might show that page on the website where the name appears.
If you search for Fred Jones, you very possibly might find a lot of pages on this board on Ihub come up in the search results. But also other articles as well.
The thing is about the Delfin Investor Relations page, it's never shown up on any of the menus on the website, nor as a direct link from the Home Page. The Home Page is like the landing page. It's the front page of a website like the front page of a book. Like if you type in Amazon.com the page you land on is the home page. From there you go to other parts of the website, but you always start there.
I hope that has maybe explained it it to you and my theory that once the page is indexed and shows up with a direct link from the Home Page it will be go time.
Right now they've completely taken it down.
Here's a link to where it was before until a couple of days ago:

Hopefully this helps explain it for you?
