What exactly would be the impact of a reverse split and why would a reverse split even be considered right now?

Why increase the AS and simultaneously announce RS?

Also, why have insiders increased their holdings?


Great questions. I'm struggling to find an answer that makes sense to all three of these questions. Take each question individually and you can come up with a logical answer.

Why increase share and announce R/S? Because there are debt obligations that the company needs available stock to cover if they come due. Additionally, the company needs cash to cover day to day expenses. In other words they need to be able to dilute to raise funds.

However, that answer seems contrary to why insiders have increased their holdings. It doesn't make sense for someone to buy more of a stock that they know is going to be diluted in the near future.

I'd love to hear other's theories on this. There's got to be a bigger picture play happening hear by Seamus, but I don't see it yet.
