If the company's disclosures are to be believed 85% of that 3 billion are being held by insiders. This would leave approximately 450 million shares on the market.

78 million traded would mean 17% of the shares on the market have been traded today.

Not sure where the stink is originating from (either bad disclosures or heavy market manipulations, but something doesn't add up.) When 17% of a company's "available" shares change hands price should have either shot up or down, not remained flat.
