Yesterday i was talking about...as believers...having pain and suffering coming into our lives and that really is just part of life in these human bodies here on planet Earth. And after i wrote all of that im sitting here thinking about it and praising God for continuing to give me the insight into my life...who i am as a man and the power that i have through the Holy Spirit that lives in me. Now...obviously that dont make me like Superman...but as a born-again believer it gives me a supernatural power to be able to cope and deal with anything that the world or satan and even my own flesh throws at me. In my reality as a believer i know that Jesus has promised that He will never leave or forsake me. That means when my life gets bad due to adversity..pain..suffering..sickness..disease. I dont have to go looking for Jesus...Hes with me every second of every day. And i know beyond a shadow of any doubt that sovereign God is 100% in complete control... thats all the time folks. I try my best everyday to keep my eyes focused on Jesus and to look for God in anything and everything...and yes that can be a little hard sometimes because i am still human..but..we have to remember that little verse that we all like to quote.."i can do all things through Jesus who gives me strength"...do we believe that or is that just something warm and fuzzy that we like to say. Heres the thing when it comes to pain and suffering and sickness...theres always a reason and its always a Godly reason. Sometimes God sends stuff our way...sometimes God lets satan bring stuff into our life thats not so good...but we can believe that God is never on vacation or taking a nap...right. I believe that everything that comes into my life...that crosses my path its God molding me into the likeness of Jesus..it is God trying to get my attention...growing not only my faith and trust..but also my dependency in Him! And as bad as we hate to acknowledge it...sometimes that bad stuff that crosses our path is because of God sending correction and discipline to us because of our sin. So i praise God for everything that comes into my life because i know He has a perfect plan and through the pain and sickness and sorrow and disease i want everybody to be able to see Jesus through me in the bad times as well as the good times...because its during our adversity that God is most glorified when we give him praise!
