The new $9.95 per month subscription still looks like it will have strong incentives for new users to continue to sign up. Not only will users get to see 3 movies for $9.95 per month, but they also get $2 - $5 off for any additional movie tickets during the billing cycle.

Since the CEO said they already are buying 6% of all movie tickets, my guess is that the tickets can also be purchased at $2 - $5 off, allowing them to break even on just the tickets themselves.

Then, if they continue to grow their advertising and promotional revenue per subscriber, things very well could turn around within the year. Maybe they actually can get positive revenue per subscriber for each new subscriber going forward. This puppy's not dead yet. I'll take my gamble buying the blood.
