I suspect PTT (and any other bidder) wanted the court to alleviate the burden of office leases and payroll, as the last court order deals with both issues.
No multi-billion, multi-national needs the administrative infrastructure... they have their own. Why pay anything to break leases and separate staff when the court can dissolve those contracts for free?
PTT et al, would only want production facilities and the patents required to make it's product and/or license to other companies. They only need the bare minimum of the Bioamber operations, and none of the overhead. IMO of course.
