How to find this information:
1) Just go to http://www.finra.org/industry/orf/orf-regulation-sho
2) Click on "Daily Short Sale Volume Files"
3) Scroll down where it says "ORF"
4) Click on the specific date you want to view
Many times the short report is meaningless. MMs borrow shares to fill orders in order to make a market. The figures reported on August 3rd were typical, given the volume was over 500k. Tho I wouldn't be surprised if some of it was shorted from those higher prices. And the fact that's the exact time new posters showed up (the shorter). May see some covering now. Filings in conjunction with a short squeeze, would be great to see, but doesn't look like all that many shares were shorted.
I like this site better: http://www.volumebot.com/?s=gncc
Yeah, people will sell a stock just because it goes down, and buy it just because it goes up. Herd Mentality. But hey we closed green, lol.
I agree with you, one big buy and back to .20! Just that fast.
