Yes, to date still the best explanation imo and bonus that it's free of someone trying to sell you some thing; "Life is for Living".
Perhaps, free from our own bias, narrative and reality, (lol paradoxically ;) - better expressed by the author in the quote supplied:

"We are a narrative animal, aren't we? We live by stories. Sometimes true, sometimes false. We want the news to be turned into stories. We want a narrative even when there's no narrative. We want our human life on this planet to be turned into a narrative. Doctors, thanatologists, those dealing with the dying think that it's a point where you can look back on your life and see the story of it, understand the narrative of your life. I'm much more skeptical of that. I think there are lots of instances where there is no narrative, or the narrative is one we wouldn't want to accept because it's too painful to bear. I think that, as we are a narrative animal and it would be boring to tell a story in exactly the same way, we're bound to elaborate aren't we? We're bound to our side of the story."
[imo, when there's a paradox nearing - you're getting closer ;]

(I like seeing the many different expressions. Not all of course ;).
“Quantum physics tells us that nothing that is observed is unaffected by the observer. That statement, from science holds an enormous and powerful insight. It means that everyone sees a different truth, because everyone is creating what they see.” ~ Neale Donald Walsch

Rest of your reply:

You lost me...
I think you were using a literary thingy there and were referring to some of the article you had provided ie: pursuing postmodernism obscurantism.. politicization and postmodern jargon.. etc,..

This is the book I like the best along with the wondrous composite natural world ;).

We are not supposed to lie cheat and steal unless of course you're an absolute hedonist which I would like to think are still a minority.

Perhaps I missed something along the way in pursuit of living, marrying, procreating and leaving the world a better place at the end of the day.

Agree, gets tricky when one tries to list em.

You went off the rails regarding death and dying. That is not what living is about or otherwise it would be fruitless since we are all going to die.

Lol, the author did in your opinion - I liked his reflection and honesty (in the link, you can hear his voice in the interview). As stated above "Life is for Living" notwithstanding da nuance as we plummet towards oblivion ;). I think most people ignore, bury the topic to a fault but are still 'motivated' by it. Were hardwired, no matter. Which brings us to the short circuits,

Not sure if you have ever known some who killed them selves but the always unanswered question is why?

Yes and I believe majority are mental illness related "the majority (more than 90 per cent) of those who do die suicide have been diagnosed with a mental illness. People with mental illness do have higher rates of suicidal thoughts and suicide than the general population. No single mental illness diagnosis is exclusively responsible for suicide."
Spent his last hours with us. Had a profound positive impact on us - terrible disease bipolar disorder. Toughed it out for 2/3 his duration.
