ESPN doesn't have exclusive rights to all of NASCAR, the NFL, MLB, NBA, etc., but they still cover all of the above & have a very wide appeal as a result.
TFN is as much (if not more so) a fight-related news network as they are distributors of specific matches & PPV events.
Once they get established in the US, then I think the different leagues & organizations will start looking to them for the exclusive contracts.
Until then, they will still be able to cover anything & everything fight-related. It will still be a money-maker even without the UFC being involved right away, but income (and those contracts) will continue to grow as their reputation in the States grows.
