They filed for bankruptcy today, I think. The
chinese battery company made one 250k payment over a year ago and did not follow up with its promises.
I wonder if the IP is already claimed by a debt holder or if it will be for sale. It would be a shame if the chinese outfit can bid on it and get the IP for few thousand dollars and then use it. Perhaps that was their plan all along, that is to string Axion along and then get the IP for nothing when no one else was interested.
It could possibly be worth something, but only to someone with enough money to revive the company. But someone like that should have showed up earlier when there was still someone left at Axion who knew how to use the IP. The chinese company knows how to use the IP. But if someone else ends up with the IP, maybe they can sue that company if they do use the IP which has not expired. But such people would need to be close enough to the business to watch and monitor and have the tools to find IP violations and pay for lawyers.
