Jim, as you know, the best company CEOs are those whose management has a handle on operations. They know that if their production operations are not running smoothly, they won't be getting revenue at the end of a month. Even in large corporations -- like Coke, for drinks; IBM, for computers; Chiquita Banana, for fruit -- they know where every factory is (in Chiquita's case, where every tree is), the name of every manager who is in charge of distribution, where product is distributed, and how many items of product are distributed at each distribution point ... and even, if salesmen are involved, how many sales each salesman has made.

Usually the good CEO's have all this information memorized; but, if they don't, they can get the information at a moment's notice. Even the CEO of IBM, with 400,000 employees around the globe, knows what each facility does; who manages that facility; what their progress is on the projects they are working on (if it's software, in fact, how many line of code are written each month; if it's printers, how fast a printer is assembled and how fast it get to a customer); how much money is spent at each office; and, what revenues each office generates for the company's bottom line.

So to say that the VGID CEO can't keep track of a few hundred drinks, that he doens't know where they're being sold, is presuming that the CEO thinks VGID stockholders are stupid, that stockholders lack all business experience. Those who promote these views outta think again. They should really think again. Why? Because there are laws that govern a company's responsibilities to its shareholders ... Even so-called pink sheet companies. Think about it. Parenthetically, let me add this: in recent months, a lot has been made of the word, collusion. As it happens, collusion only has a legal meaning in laws governing business and economics. Think about that!

CEO only cares that the distributor is making his payment every month and that he continues to order. He does not have the time to track every bottle to which retailer it goes. Come on!!
