The off take contract with Optimum Nano is looking more and more like a raw deal due to the financial struggles of Optimum Nano. While it is true that the other off take partner has offered to buy Optimum’s load, this is only a temporary solution which also provides uncertainty. Optimum needs to improve its situation very soon or get out of the deal (or get kicked out). In my opinion, it would be better to get a new partner, but the poor environment in the lithium sector may result in an inferior contract price. Nevertheless, I would prefer to start with a clean slate than to wait for Optimum Nano, who I do not trust at this time. I would prefer a non-Chinese partner since we already have one of that kind.

The take over rumors are also a concern. It is a fact that there was TO interest and the company announced it a few months ago. Unfortunately, Optimum Nano was also part of this effort. The current low SP also implies that the offer may be quite low. Folks in the HC forum currently speculate offer prices of approximately $0.35-$0.40, which is well below the rumors when the SP was higher and people suggested offers above $0.5 and even above $1. I realize that these offer prices are just speculative rumors that need to be taken with a grain of salt. However, I do believe that ALTAF’s low SP and excellentfundamentals make it a perfect candidate for a take over. Part of me is against any offer under $0.5 or $1, especially with the ALTAF’s multi bagger potential. The other part of me says that times are tough and it may be best/realistic to accept a lower offer to guarantee smaller profits and I can then invest in another company. Unfortunately, the decision will be made by the big fish that own lots of shares and not by little minnows like us. Lastly, one positive of a formal take over offer, whether is accepted or not, is that it may be that it help stabilize and even improve the SP.

Time is of essence for ALTAF’s BOD to make a few key decisions.
