SPECULATION:
Company thinks they should get $650M (perhaps market evaluation)
Bidders offer $450M (perhaps fire-sale discount pricing)
Company is unhappy with what they consider low-ball offers and sidesteps the monitor's court appointed authorities by posting this bullshi+ PR yesterday, and madness ensues.
Yet today, the court has reasonable offers before it. Is the court going to side with the company that has a) mismanaged day to day operations, leading the company to insolvency, b) a board that cannot restrain it's CEO, or worse, colludes with him, c) a madman CEO that carelessly disregards the common shareholders by issuing cooked up guidance which STEALS money from innocent investors?
OR, is the court going to accept a reasonable offer for the distressed property before it and simply be done with this whole crazy affair?
We'll see.
