LinkedIn is a popularity contest and a networking platform. Running a company on 5 years of near bankruptcy is a little bit more challenging than someone hitting a "like" button. It takes balls and personal sacrifice to be running this shitshow and to be guiding it into the future. many other CEOs would have walked away but instead Gene changed direction on a dime and pursued other markets until the company could get to a point of profitability. If I was the CEO 5 years ago, I probably would have thrown my hands up and moved on to something else.
