but not sure about how SUV sales As I recall truck sales up car sales down.... Call it the boomer effects. Demographics are way different. In 73 my dad was 34 with a children 13,12 and 3 and a tight budget. Now the business is sold and he wouldn't be without his gas guzzling van... As far as SUV's Had my choice of AWD van or SUV. Took the VAN. SUV's may be sexy but even a TAHOE doesn't have the convenient interior room of my Safari Van. Most of those 3rd seats I've seen in SUVs are to cramped for my liking except for short trips. Rented a few of the bigger ones. Reminds me of the back seat of my brother-in-laws A4. Why bother, and I'm not even that big @ 5.11 180... Maybe a Navigator :o) Yeah my Van sucks gas 110 litre tank, like my old Chev 350 4bbl.... Oh those were the days....

LOL... they will steal it instead and human nature being what it is too many would rather free crap than pay for quality.... just witness the early days of Netscape and Internet Explorer.. Bill Gates made billions understanding this concept... The majority are like flies... free $hit... let's party let's it's 1999... :o)
