Yes cash, equities used to NOT be this way. It was something done in futures markets which is an entirely different beast than company issued shares of ownership. CNBC even mentioning all of this today and volatility of so many stocks and company PPS's, etc and why volumes so low in equities today everywhere fro what they used to be- DUH !!??

Like story about how so many US small businesses have no edge or ability to bid State/Fed contracts because rules are for only the larger "connected" corps and because US banks today DO NOT support local small business either as they once used too, we have a mess in this nation still in that arena (where I travel)...

US equities markets easily manipulated by large hands / fund/ banks and retail mom & pop investors have no fair playing field so odds sure seem to be doom & gloom against them if they even try to buy into any corp- and shortsell groups can gang up and murder the stock and they gain $ and leave, while the listed corporation on an exchange suffers low PPS and earnings reports, and the retail investor stolen from...

Why I get angry when I see TV adds pop up again, as they have recently in NC areas, to teach people to daytrade and short stocks to make easy, fast money. It all is a destructive behavior against listed public companies and also goes against any MBA program which teaches buying stock is part ownership of a company.
