There is exploratory drilling to examine a target area and definition drilling to discover the extent of the deposit and I expect that there will be reserve drilling to finalize the mine plan.

Erosion can be a chaotic thing and an uninteresting piece of ground can become something exciting. Saying that they could have sampled it with a teaspoon at any time is more or less silly. Serious prospectors have been all that area since the 1800's and that outcrop was never noticed until this year. Clearly this wasn't a "surface exposure" until recently.

From what you are saying it seems that you are a resident or frequent visitor to VC so I won't debate the question of whether or not any drilling has taken place for years. I don't presently have time to search it out. If I get time to search it out later; I'll make a post. At any rate, as Rock said we will get answers on the CC.
